I agree. I usually try to wrap my jabs in more humor or visual twists. Those elements are thin here, not enough to obscure what is basically me flipping the bird at the objects of my ire.
Suggestion: I’d like to see a comparison of the left’s reaction to Weiner-gate with the left’s reaction to conservative politician scandals. Been done I’m sure, but Pelosi saying, “let’s see if he broke any rules” is HILARIOUS to me. Really? Is that how you reacted to conservative scandals? “Duh … no rules were broken, guess it’s OK.” And, BTW, as you are subject to those rules, shouldn’t you already KNOW if it breaks them? What a whitewash.
@JDoors: I also wouldn’t mind seeing a comparison of the right’s reaction to Weiner-gate with the right’s reaction to conservative politician scandals. Both sides are pretty shitty at handling things when one of their own screws up.
Guess we see and hear what we want to see and hear. I haven’t heard any relevant conservative commentary on this subject but then, I don’t watch or read any of the few “conservative” sources available. Of course the MSM isn’t giving conservatives more than a few seconds for a soundbite or two, as usual, so I’m not entirely sure what you’re referring to.
It’s a matter of hypocrisy, JDoors. Take Mark Foley for example. Stanch opponent to child pornography and Gay rights, however, caught sexually harassing young boys. Ensign, Pickering and Sanford; These are people who practiced the opposite of what they preached. Which wouldn’t be a big deal but it was also how they would legislate. So it becomes prudent to scrutinize as it affect all of us.
As for Shawn. I guess some people are easily entertained. You should look into Garfield or Marmaduke. Right up your alley.

Weiner’s weiner is a comedy golden goose. More than a little disappointing that this comic so unfunny.
It’s only unfunny to those who can’t find anything other than the alliteration between his name and photography subject of choice to laugh at.
Some people can find humor in multiple aspects of the same happening.
