So, I hope everyone now sees how these things escalate! Allie’s hateful mocking of our Dear Leader, depicting him as a rat, has now progressed to heretofore unheard heights of hate speech. Now, in this cartoon, we see Allie calling for the death of supporters of our Dear Leader and his far-sighted policies. How can he claim to be anything other than a far-right zealot? How can anyone call for the death of anyone else? Allie just a right-wing Taliban! Allie is obviously also a religiously intolerant bigot because he puts a pig on the sign, knowing that our Dear Leader’s upbringing as a Muslim would make him particularly offended by this depiction of his policies as being religiously unclean. I’m sure Allie is also a racist — just wait, he’ll come up with some cartoon that betrays his hidden racism!
Alas, in this era of Political Correctness and knee-jerk offense, the greatest tragedy of all is that no one appreciates wry satire anymore — perhaps I was too sardonic for my meaning to be transparent. *sigh* (although, I think “D” got it)
Just to be clear, I am a different “Anonymous” than the one who is crabby and has no sense of humor.
And, also, for further clarity, I think Eric Allie’s political cartoons are brilliant (and in this I am not joking).
